Purpose and Relevance of Templar Chivalry in the Modern World
Discover the motivations of the Templar Order, reasons for its restoration, authentic purposes and missions, and its real practical role in the modern world. The return of the original Templar Order was needed to continue its original role as Guardians of the Pillars of Civilization, for the original mission of promoting Chivalry for upholding a Balance of Powers to reclaim People’s Rights.
The leaders of the Templar Restoration recognized that in the 21st century, we are experiencing the Collapse of Civilization, driven by self-styled “elites” implementing a known historical Evil Agenda against humanity, systematically dismantling Human Rights and the Rule of Law, to impose Globalist tyranny.
Understanding that “history repeats itself” in cycles every few centuries, they realized that the Templar Order provides the time-tested solutions of the past, to overcome the same problems of the present:
When kings manipulated false wars, Templars made peace; When feudalism enslaved the People, Templars established Magna Carta rights; When elitism imposed oppression, Templar Chivalry led humanity into the Renaissance.
Now the modern world is facing the same false crises, economic neo-feudalism, and elitist secret societies advancing the same Evil Agenda. Now the world needs the Return of the Templar Order, and the Return of Chivalry, more than ever.
Therefore, a surviving lineage of Templar Clergy, carrying canonical legal succession from the Grand Mastery, began the Templar Restoration: to restore the Templar Order, to restore Chivalry, to restore a Balance of Powers in world affairs, to reclaim Human Rights and the Rule of Law for the People.
Chivalry is a way of life, which teaches the moral principles, practical skills and effective strategies needed to uplift and empower humanity, upholding Rights and Justice, by and for the People.
Chivalry is the time-tested solution, to the same historical Evil Agenda which the Knights Templar fought against, causing the same problems in the modern world. Orders of Chivalry were proven to be the most effective institutions to stand up for humanity, against oppression and injustice, in dangerous times.
Chivalry was always the key to a Balance of Powers for civilization: It promoted spiritual Faith, but limited religious dogmas or intolerance; It supported Governments helping the People, but opposed all corrupt abuses of power.
The Templar Order is not a mere Fraternity, and is not a Secret Society: It is an Order of Chivalry, which means Faith in action, defending Good against Evil.
The restored Templar Order now continues the original historical missions of our ancestors: To apply ancient Golden Age sacred knowledge to uphold the Pillars of Civilization, advance the Rule of Law and Justice for independent nations of Free Peoples, lead humanity out of oppression into a New Renaissance, and invoke the Kingdom of God to manifest a new Golden Age on earth.
The underlying and overriding core mission at the heart of the Templar Order, which empowers and guides all other missions, is to promote Chivalry as the Templar way of life, applying those principles in the modern world.
The famous Templar “Army of God” is now a modern force for change, as a community of skilled professionals pursuing the Quest of humanitarian work. The restored Order thus continues the historical missions of our ancestors.
Templars with relevant career qualifications often volunteer for service in Diplomatic or military affairs, Government, Church restoration, or supporting the Independent Legal Profession or the Judiciary.
All Templars of diverse skill sets often volunteer for projects of humanitarian relief, animal rights, academic research, education, multimedia content, membership recruiting, or non-profit fundraising.
Combining and applying all of the above skills and missions, the larger mission of the Templar Order is to restore and reestablish world-class official institutions for the People, using Golden Age sacred knowledge, to balance the corrupt modern institutions, enabling freedom of choice by the People.
Making all of the above missions possible, the central and primary mission is the ongoing restoration of the Templar Order itself, as the engine and vehicle driving the practical application of Chivalry for real-world results.
Historically, the true role of the Templar Order is to serve as Guardians of the Pillars of Civilization. This primary role includes several supporting roles:
Guardians of Chivalry empowering the People, Guardians of Justice upholding Human Rights and the Rule of Law, Guardians of All Faith protecting religious freedoms for all genuine spiritual religions separately, and Guardians of the Church preserving the origins and founding heritage of Christianity.
Guardianship is inherently a non-aggressive and non-interfering role, thus not provoking any conflicts or adversity. However, Guardians respond powerfully with many levels of metaphorical “force” to defend what they are guarding:
The Templar Order thus continually restores and develops many metaphorical “engines of warfare”, which are the institutions and systems for spiritual warfare, legal warfare, and information warfare, all in defense of goodness for humanity.
The role of Guardianship gives the Templar Order a powerful, influential and effective role in world affairs, even in the modern era. This role is fulfilled through Diplomatic relations upholding a Balance of Powers.
The Guardianship role is driven by ongoing Restoration of deep substance of the heritage of humanity, empowering the People with God-given Free Will, to choose the Golden Age ways of goodness against the periodic cycles of tyranny.
The Templar Order has always been a Sovereign Principality, with its own Government, and Diplomatic status with a role in international affairs.
This official authority provides an important strategic advantage, giving real strength to the humanitarian missions of Templar Chivalry, with legal protections against interference. That gives the Order political power to uphold and enforce Human Rights and Freedoms. It also enables Templars to earn genuine peerage titles of Chivalry and Nobility by volunteering on projects.
For these practical reasons, necessarily, the Templar Restoration also fully restored the original legal sovereignty of the Order as a non-territorial (international) Principality, called a “sovereign subject of international law”.
While Chivalry is mostly driven and guided by Faith, and Templars are Defenders of Religion, the Order itself is not a religion. It does not teach any particular beliefs or philosophies – it teaches Chivalry as a way of life.
Templar Chivalry is based upon applying ancient sacred knowledge, from past Golden Age civilizations, which was never supposed to be “secret”, but only appears so because it was suppressed and forgotten. This is the collective heritage of humanity, which must be returned to the People.
The Templar Order publishes more top-level “secret” knowledge even for non-members, than fraternities or secret societies give to their few highest degree members over a lifetime. It does not artificially withhold or delay higher levels of knowledge, but makes all teachings available for members to study as fast as they are ready and capable to do so.
The Templar way of life of Chivalry, in service to God and humanity, truly gives a deeper meaning to one’s life, with a strong sense of higher purpose.
Our Templar ancestors gave us the keys to successfully overcome corruption and oppression, in the form of their legendary Order of Chivalry. The restored Templar Order preserves and teaches the time-tested proven skills and strategies to powerfully defend against the historical Evil Agenda, with the weapons of Truth and Justice, backed by the full knowledge base of the original Order.
Joining the Templar Order empowers one to expand beyond one’s individual capabilities, by joining forces with like-minded spiritual warriors for a common cause. The Order serves as the ultimate vehicle for Templars to achieve maximum collective impact, with a positive influence in world affairs, as a real and effective force for change.
Working together as Templar Brothers and Sisters gives strength and longevity to the Templar Order, as our shared institution serving humanity. This ensures that the Templar knowledge and methods are preserved for future generations, to continue serving as Guardians of the Pillars of Civilization for the People.
The Ancient Order of Knights of the Temple is the only institution which has fully restored official legitimacy of direct continuity, legal succession, and sovereignty of the founding authority and heritage of the original Templar Order.
However, it was not restored to be exclusively the only existing Templar organization. Rather, the Templar Restoration, through decades of laborious effort at enormous expense, was intended to provide proven authenticity and public legitimacy as a shared resource, to support other Templar groups.
The restored Order does not claim any authority over nor influence in any other Templar groups, which are independent, and thus are responsible for explaining their own bases of legitimacy and authenticity. All such groups have a potential role in the overall movement of Templarism in the modern era.
There are several Templar “revival groups” of “cultural Templars”, based upon inspiration from and dedication to the Templar principles of Chivalry.
There may be other Templar “legacy groups” of “surviving Templars”, which may be based upon some lineage from one or more Templar ancestors, and may preserve and teach from relics of genuine Templar heritage.
However, as the word “Templar” by definition means “of the Templar Order”, every authentic group of “Templars” should want to establish a connection with the original Templar Order, to benefit from its practical infrastructure support, and access to the full depth and substance of its restored heritage.
Established legacy groups and revival groups, which effectively represent genuine Templar principles, can become an affiliated Commandery, Priory or Preceptory of the official restored Templar Order.
Such groups can now “come home”, under the legendary banner of the original Order of the Temple, within the fortress of its official sovereign authorities. For this, the restored Order offers reciprocal cooperation, with mutual respect for independence, and a policy of non-interference and group autonomy.
